Me celebrating an end-of-Prohibition party in December.
Nice to write to you all in 2016—I hope your holidays were festive and full of good food, libations, and books.

New Book

I'm very pleased to ring in the new year by announcing that my fourth book, Revelation, will be released in December 2016 from Oceanview Publishing. The story of Revelation is told from the point-of-view of its protagonist, Harden Campbell, a twenty-year-old college student who is part of an experiment to try to begin a new religion on campus. This experiment—left largely in the hands of Harden's megalomaniacal roommate, Coyote—quickly spins out of control, with very dark and devastating effects.

New Website

My website got an overhaul, so take a minute to check it out. I've also added a photography section showcasing some of my favorite photos from my travels around the world. Thanks to xuni.com for their great work—the new site really does look amazing.

The Comfort of Black Reviews Make a Difference!

If you've read The Comfort of Black or my previous works and haven't left a review, I urge you to do so. Honest reviews not only make a real difference to the booklovers looking for a new title to read, but the number of reviews affect how a book shows up in searches. My goal is 100 or more reviews on The Comfort of Black, on either Amazon.com or Goodreads.com, and even just a sentence or two will suffice.

Other News

I'm also pleased to announce the German rights to The Comfort of Black were sold at auction to Goldmann (Random House), in what was the largest foreign-rights deal transacted by Oceanview Publishing.

That's it for now. I'm very excited for this year, and I wish everyone health and happiness in 2016.

Carter
